Lifelong Learning Campus

A Lifelong Learning Campus creates an environment in which education, health, creativity and social encounters are seamlessly intertwined. An integrative mixed-use concept combines a wide range of activities and uses in order to promote personal growth and community development in equal measure. These locations serve as inspiring platforms that support individual development and active community life through flexible educational and leisure offerings. One example of this is the Wieweil project, which established a knowledge market with innovative educational and leisure opportunities as well as residential uses, which brings together different target groups and thus creates synergies between learning and life.

The key competencies in this concept are programming, identity building and community building. These elements are successfully used to create a vibrant environment that promotes long-term commitment and active participation
